Unified track (pre-professional program) for male students who are interested in College of Medicine, College of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Applied Medical Sciences, Public Health and Health Informatics. It is also available for Female students who are interested in College of Medicine, College of Dentistry, Pharmacy, and College of Applied Medical Sciences. This program is presented by College of sciences and Health Professions.
Controls of the pre-professional year for students of the unified track:
1. All school hours in the first year are mandatory and are calculated within the GPA.
2. English Language Materials Prerequisite for all second semester materials.
3. The first academic year is mandatory and postponement or cancellation is not allowed.
4. If the student does not achieve a cumulative average of (3 out of 5), with a grade of (good) at least after completing all the subjects of the pre-professional year successfully, he is not entitled to apply for admission to the College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy.
5. The student of the pre-professional year of the university will be dismissed in the following cases:
If he/she has spent two academic years (four semesters) and has not successfully completed the pre-professional year period.
If he/she receives two consecutive academic alerts (less than 2 out of 5) during the pre-professional year.
6. Unified track students will be allocated to the university specialties available after the end of the second semester of each academic year only.
7. It is not allowed to transfer from one college to another after the beginning of the specialization study.
8. It is possible to transfer from the unified track to the nursing track for female students only after the end of the first semester of the pre-professional year with the condition of entering the differentiation of the requested college.
9. Unified track students in Riyadh are not allowed to transfer to Jeddah Medicine
The mechanism of allocation of students of the unified track:
1. Candidates are distributed after the end of the second semester of each academic year only, if all the subjects of the pre-professional year are passed.
2. The differentiation after the second semester according to the cumulative average, the desire and the number of seats available in the specialization.
3. The student will determine the desire after the middle of the second semester according to a mechanism that created by the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
4. The number of seats available will be determined according to the decision of the university admission committee, provided that this is done before the middle of the second semester of each academic year.
5. Students of applied medical sciences, the mechanism of determining the program for them after the end of the third
semester of the pre-professional year as follows:
• The differentiation will be after the end of the third semester of the pre-professional year according to the cumulative average, the desire, and the number of seats available in the specialization.
• The student will determine his / her desire after the middle of the third semester of the pre-professional year according to a mechanism approved by the Admission and Registration Deanship.
• The available seats will be determined based on coordination between the College of Applied Medical Sciences and the Deanship of Admission and Registration, provided that this is done before the middle of the third semester of the study of the student or student.
