Pre-professional students will have the opportunity to understand the nature of
research to be familiar with various scientific databases and resources available for
researchers by taking research skills course RESC 211.
Then, in professional years students will also have two research courses. Research
Methodology I on their third year and Research Methodology II. In Research
Methodology I, the course will focus on essential steps in carrying health research
from the initial stages until developing research proposal. At the end of this course,
each research group must submit a research proposal to King Abdullah International
Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) for Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.
In Research Methodology II, this course will focus on collecting the data of the
students approved proposal, carryout appropriate statistical analysis and submit a joint
research project report. At the end of the Research Methodology II, the students
should be expected to be capable of evaluating research designs and publishing
articles.
In these three resrech courses, students will have the opportunity to be guided by their
advisors (Faculty members). In addition, many of our college faculties are working on
their own resrech publication.
