 Dr. Hassan Y. Aljohani

Assistant Professor
Dr. Hassan Aljohani is an Assistant Professor of Respiratory Therapy at KSAU-HS. He received his American Board certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care as a registered respiratory therapist and neonatal and pediatric specialist in 2015. Dr. Aljohani received his fellowship in Clinical and Translational science in 2019-2020 and a fellowship in global health in 2020-2021, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
Dr. Aljohani’s research interest is focused on the rehabilitation of critically ill patients in the intensive care units and improving their quality of life after ICU discharge. Also, he is interested in investigating the respiratory mechanics during mechanical ventilation support and examining strategies for mechanical ventilation weaning.
