 Dr. Munirah Al Khuwaiter

Assistant Professor
Dr. Munirah Alkhuwaiter is an Assistant Professor in the Audiology and Speech Pathology
Department, College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health
Sciences. She earned a master’s degree in Speech, Language and Learning, and a doctoral degree in
Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University. Dr. Alkhuwaiter holds the
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
As a clinical researcher, she is interested in swallowing disorders, specifically in investigating
psychometric properties of swallowing assessment and measurement tools. During her doctoral
studies, she held a teaching assistant position in the Communication Sciences and Disorders
Department and completed a one-year Teaching Certificate Program (TCP) at the Searle Center for
Advancing Learning and Teaching.
