 Dr. Nesrin Al Harthy

Associate Professor
Dr. Nesrin Alharthy is a distinguished Associate Professor at the College of Medicine, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. Her clinical expertise is complemented by her role as a Consultant in the Pediatrics Emergency Department at King Abdul-Aziz Medical City in Riyadh. With a strong foundation in medicine, Dr. Alharthy holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from King Saud University, along with esteemed certifications from the Arab and Saudi Boards. Her advanced training includes two prestigious fellowships in Pediatrics Emergency from the Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto, Canada, respectively. This rigorous academic journey has solidified her reputation as a leading authority in the field of emergency medicine.

Dr. Alharthy's dedication to research is evident in her Master's degree in Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology and Biostatistics from KSAU-HS. Beyond her academic pursuits, she is a proven leader. Currently serving as Associate Dean for Female Students at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, she played a pivotal role in establishing all nine academic programs for the female branch. Recently, she was appointed Deputy Chair of the Pediatrics Emergency Department at King Abdul-Aziz Medical City.

Recognized for her exceptional contributions, Dr. Alharthy has received numerous accolades, including the Tutor of the Year award for the PEM Fellowship Program at the Hospital for Sick Children and a research award from the same institution. Additionally, she secured second place in a poster presentation at KAIMRC in 2012. Dr. Alharthy's leadership extends to her roles as Head of the Pediatric Emergency Examinations Committee for the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and Head of the Pediatrics Emergency Research Committee. Her involvement in various conferences and workshops further enriches her professional development.
