 Dr. Zyad Al Mutlaq

Assistant Professor
Dr. Zyad Al Mutlaq is an Assistant Professor in the Radiological Sciences Department at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences . He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Radiological Sciences from King Saud University in 2015, followed by a Master’s degree in Radiology – Medical Imaging from the University of Leeds.

He later pursued his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Imaging at the University of Leeds, where his research focused on evaluating the response of breast cancer to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. His dissertation investigated the complex relationship between perfusion and diffusion, employing advanced imaging modalities such as diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) imaging.

Dr. Al Mutlaq’s academic and research background reflects his dedication to advancing the field of medical imaging through innovative approaches and scientific inquiry.
