Dr. Asma Al Dawood is a dedicated Assistant Professor in the Occupational Therapy Department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. A distinguished alumna of King Saud University , she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, which provided a strong foundation for her academic and professional journey.

Motivated by a deep commitment to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities, Dr. Al Dawood pursued a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. Her master’s thesis explored the perspectives of mothers of children with disabilities on the supports and barriers to community participation in Saudi Arabia, contributing valuable insights into inclusive community practices.

Dr. Al Dawood later earned her PhD in Health and Related Research from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. Her doctoral research investigated thebarriers to the provision of mobility assistive technologies (MAT) and related services in Saudi Arabia, providing evidence-based recommendations to improve access, equity, and quality in rehabilitation and assistive technology services across the Kingdom.
