 Ms. Ihssan Hassan Abdelrahman

Ms. Ihssan Abdulrahman is a seasoned educator currently holding the position of Lecturer at the Clinical Nutrition Department within the College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences since 2018. With a Master's degree in Human Nutrition from Ahfad University in Sudan, she boasts a robust academic background. Her teaching career spans both Sudan and Saudi Arabia, including a visiting lecturer role at the University of Ohio in the United States.
Beyond the classroom, Ms. Abdulrahman has extensive clinical experience as a dietitian in prominent healthcare institutions such as King Khalid University Hospital and Kingdom Hospital. Her expertise extends to research and training, as evidenced by her role as a Training and Research Specialist at the Academy of Educational Development (AED) in the United States. In this capacity, she spearheaded the establishment and implementation of a critical community-based program addressing acute malnutrition in Sudan and Ghana. Furthermore, her seven-year tenure in monitoring and evaluation for organizations like UNICEF, CARE, Save the Children, and the World Bank underscores her proficiency in program management. To continually enhance her academic capabilities, Ms. Abdulrahman has actively participated in training programs offered by prestigious institutions such as the University of Maastricht, the World Health Organization, and UNICEF, focusing on food science, nutrition, and innovative pedagogical approaches.
