To have the Clinical Affairs Department be a leader in providing outstanding clinical training programs that contribute to preparing competent and qualified healthcare professionals, achieving academic excellence and high professional standards, while meeting the needs of the community and the healthcare job.

Mission

Our goal at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Jeddah, at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, is to train highly skilled healthcare professionals to contribute to the development of the nation's medical workforce. We aim to enhance trainees' awareness of key professional ethics, such as commitment, innovation, responsibility, integrity, and respect for colleagues and patients' rights.
Additionally, we focus on equipping them with the ability to handle workplace pressures and improve their communication skills with patients to ensure the best possible care. Furthermore, we strive to expand future career opportunities. Training is conducted in a safe and healthy environment under direct supervision by highly qualified medical professionals in various medical specialties

Overview

The Clinical Affairs Department is responsible for supervising and organizing clinical training and internship programs for students of the College of Applied Medical Sciences. The department’s role includes coordinating with accredited hospitals within the Kingdom to ensure the acceptance of trainees, as well as completing the required medical examinations and clearance procedures for both KSAU and Non-KSAU interns.

Objectives

Organize and supervise clinical training and internship programs to ensure quality education and achieve outstanding professional outcomes.

Coordinate with accredited hospitals and healthcare authorities to provide effective and safe training opportunities for trainees.

Monitor trainees and provide continuous support throughout the training period to ensure a successful learning experience.

Promote awareness of professional ethics, responsibility, and patients’ rights among trainees.

Oversee evaluation procedures, certifications, and graduation requirements to ensure compliance with academic and administrative standards.
