Why do you misunderstand me Campaign
 
On the 30th of March 2018, the Clinical Nutrition department in KSAU_HS has launched an awareness campaign under the title "why do you misunderstand me?" in Mall of Arabia. The Campaign's goal was to motivate the community to improve and maintain their health and correct the wrong concepts on healthy diet lifestyle.


 
Obesity And Weight Management Aw​​areness Day
 
On the 3rd of April 2018, the Clinical Nutrition department in KSAU_HS had launched an awareness campaign about the obesity and weight management in MNGHA.

The World Diabetes Day Campaign 1:

In cooperation with Leen Club in KSAU-HS, the clinical Nutrition department has organized a diabetes awareness campaign in MNGHA.

The campaign discussed the following items:
 - Symptoms of diabetes
 - Causes and prevention
 - Treatment


 
The World Diabetes Day Campaign 2:

In cooperation with the College of Medicine HS, the clinical Nutrition department have organized a diabetes awareness campaign both in MNGHA & KSAU-HS facilities.
 

 
Your Weight Doesn’t Define You:

In cooperation with the student Club in KSAU-J, the clinical Nutrition Department organized an awareness campaign under the title "Your Weight Does Not Define You" in Al-Salam Mall. The Campaign's goal was to educate the community about the importance of a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. The Campaign aimed to correct the misconceptions about gaining or losing weight and its health and psychological effects.
 

 
The World Autism Day Campaign:

On the 2nd of April 2019, the Clinical Nutrition department in KSAU_HS launched the Autism day awareness campaign in the Autism Center in Jeddah. The goal of the Campaign was to educate the autism mothers and teacher about nutrition diet for children with Autism.
 

 
Preschool and School of Nutrition Education:

On the 17th of March 2019, the Clinical Nutrition department in KSAU_HS had launched an awareness campaign under the title "Growth up healthy" in preschool and primary school in Jeddah. The Campaign's goal was to provide nutrition education to the school and preschool children.
 

 
Eating Disorders Campaign:

On 7 & 10th of April 2019, the Clinical Nutrition department in KSAU_HS has launched an awareness campaign under the title “no one is perfect” in Girl High School in Jeddah.
The campaign’s goal was to prevent eating disorder behaviors among adolescents in Saudi Arabia.
 

 
Breastfeeding Campaign:

On 20 & 24th of March 2019, the Clinical Nutrition department in KSAU_HS has launched an awareness campaign under the title “only my mother milk" in NGHA King Abdulaziz Medical City, OB/ GYN clinic. The campaign’s goal was to increase the mother’s awareness about the importance and the health impact of breastfeeding.
 

 
Elderly Nutrition Education:

On the 14th of April 2019, the Clinical Nutrition department in KSAU_HS had launched an awareness day under the title “Healthy elderly" in NGHA King Abdulaziz Medical City, Prince Noura Centre. The campaign’s goal was to increase awareness about healthy nutrition and life-style in aging.
 

 
Pediatrics  (Healthy choice for kids):

On the 17th of April 2019, the Clinical Nutrition department in KSAU_HS had launched awareness day under the title "Healthy choice for kids "in NGHA King Abdulaziz Medical City, Pediatrics Ward. The Campaign's goal was to increase the mother's awareness about healthy snacks and deal with bad eating habits in childhood.
 

 
Let’s Walk the Walk Together:

On the 19th of December 2019, the Clinical Nutrition department in KSAU_HS cooperated with Help Center for special needs to foster awareness among intellectual disabilities under the title "Let's Walk the Walk Together" in Jeddah Corniche, waterfront. Seven hundred participants with various disabilities attended and participated in the walk. CLNS booth's theme was sports nutrition.

















درهم وقاية 

On 2nd of Mars 2020, the Clinical Nutrition department in KSAU_HS has launched an awareness campaign under the title “  درهم وقاية” in NGHA King Abdulaziz Medical City, outpatients clinics. The campaign’s goal was to increase community awareness about healthy eating and snacks. The campaign focused on increasing awareness of the role of nutrition in obesity, diabetes, Hypertension, and other nutrition-related diseases.

World​ diabetes day 

This activity was implemented in KSAU by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Department. The activity aims to increase the nutrition awareness and raise the important of healthy eating to prevent diabetes. And to provide nutrition information to control diabetes with diabetic patients. This activity was conducted on the 14th of December 2022.

World Health Day

This activity was implemented in outpatient clinics area in National Guard Hospital-Jeddah.by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Department. The activity aims to raise the awareness of healthy eating to a void health complication. Specific objectives were to promote health and reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases by encouraging people to consume healthy diets and maintain healthy body weights. This activity was conducted on April 7.2023.

Good Nutrition during Ramadan

This activity was implemented in outpatient clinics- National Gard hospital for the public by faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Department to draw attention to healthy and good nutrition to all the fasting people in Ramadan in the KSA. This activity was conducted on the 13th February. 2023



 
 
Workshop on Clinical Nutrition Management for Ostomy Patients

This workshop was implemented by faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Department to enhance the students' knowledge regarding the Medical Nutrition Therapy for High Output Stoma. This workshop was conducted on May 11 of 2023.


 
 
World Parkinson's Day

This activity was implemented online by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Department aiming to raise global awareness of nutrition with Parkinson's disease. This activity was conducted on 11th of April 2023.

World's Hypertension Day

This activity was implemented as a collaborating between both the Clinical Nutrition program and the Echocardio vascular technology program by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members and aiming to Increase the awareness of our population about hypertension risk factor and the early nutrition management that help and improve the life expectancy for who have the disease or at risk to have hypertension. This activity was conducted on June 11 2023.


 

World's Kidney Day

This activity was implemented by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Department aiming to educate the population about good nutrition for the best prevention and management to kidney diseases. This activity was conducted on 9 th of March. 2023. ​

Workshop on Medical Nutrition Therapy for Pressure Ulcers

This workshop was implemented by faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Department to enhance the clinical nutrition students' knowledge regarding the Medical Nutrition Therapy for patients with pressure ulcers. The workshop was conducted on May 11, 2023.

World Autism Awareness Day

T​his activity was implemented by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Department to draw attention to the people living with autism in the KSA both to educate those unaware of the condition, and to help make the world friendlier to those who are affected by it. This activity was conducted on 2nd of April 2023.













Organic Food Day 2023


This campaign was held after the Saudi Council of Ministers issued a decision in November 2022 to designate the eleventh day of November of each year as “Organic Food Day. The campaign implemented by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Program on the 11th and 13the November (poster day), 2023 at the Deanship of Postgraduates building. The goal is to educate citizens of the importance of organic food and its many health benefits for the human body of providing a healthy life for all population.

World Diabetes Day 2023

This campaign was implemented by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members from both the Clinical Nutrition Program and Clinical Laboratory Sciences on the 14th of December, 2023 at the Deanship of Postgraduates building. This activity aims to raise understanding about diabetes, and the risk factors that increase the possibility of developing type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as raising public awareness about the importance of nutrition to prevent and manage diabetes.

Ramadan Awareness Day

This campaign was implemented by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Program on the 10th of March, 2024 at COAMS-J-F to draw attention to healthy and good nutrition to all the fasting people in Ramadan in the KSA.

Weight Management (Obesity Must Go)

This campaign was implemented by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Program on the 6th of April, 2024 at COAMS-J-F to spread the awareness of the importance of weight management among students and encourage them to follow healthy life style and choose healthy snacks.

Nutrition and Autism

This campaign was implemented by a group of students under the supervision of faculty members from the Clinical Nutrition Program on the 26th of May, 2024 at COAMS-J-F to raise awareness of suitable nutrition and nutritional behavioral therapy for people with autism.




World Diabetes Day 2024


In celebration of International Diabetes Day, the Clinical Nutrition Department at KSAU-HS, in collaboration with C Lab, held a public awareness campaign at Jeddah Village Mall on November 21–22, 2024. The campaign aimed to educate the community about the risk factors of type 1 and type 2 diabetes and the vital role of nutrition in prevention and management. It promoted healthy eating habits and emphasized the importance of early access to information and care, aligning with the 2024 theme: "Your way to control diabetes before it controls you."

World Health Day 2025


On April 7, 2025, the Clinical Nutrition Department at KSAU-HS organized a health awareness campaign on campus targeting students, families, staff, and faculty. The initiative aimed to bridge the knowledge gap in nutrition and promote healthy food choices for disease prevention and overall well-being. Activities focused on raising awareness of common nutrition issues, practical dietary advice, and behavioral strategies to support long-term healthy lifestyles.​

Nourishing Minds: Diet and Autism Awareness


On May 7, 2025, the Clinical Nutrition Department at KSAU-HS launched a community campaign titled “Nourishing Minds: Diet and Autism Awareness” at the Comprehensive National Center. The initiative coincided with World Autism Awareness Day under the theme “Hands together for healthy nutrition to Autism.” The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the role of diet in supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), provide practical nutritional guidance to families and caregivers, and promote an inclusive and informed community environment.

​World Down Syndrome Day 2025 


On May 8, 2025, the Clinical Nutrition Department at KSAU-HS implemented a community campaign in observance of World Down Syndrome Day at the Comprehensive National Center. The initiative aimed to raise awareness and promote understanding of Down syndrome, enhance the community’s knowledge of the condition, and highlight both the challenges faced by individuals and the strengths they possess. The campaign also offered practical support to individuals with Down syndrome and their families through recommendations for adopting a healthy lifestyle.

Nourish Your Child with Love: A Mother’s Guide to Healthy Nutrition from Birth to Preschool Age


On May 15, 2025, the Clinical Nutrition Department at KSAU-HS conducted an educational campaign at Day Care (صناع المرح) titled “Nourish Your Child with Love: A Mother’s Guide to Healthy Nutrition from Birth to Preschool Age.” The initiative aimed to raise awareness among mothers and daycare staff about the importance of proper nutrition during infancy and early childhood, with a focus on breastfeeding and the safe introduction of solid foods to support healthy growth and development.
