K1 Recall knowledge of radiological instruments, imaging techniques and protocols used to optimize image quality and ensure patient, personnel, and public safety.
K2Identify of body organs structures, locations and functions for proper and safe patient positioning and image evaluation.
K3Recognize the appropriate and safe contrast agents and radioisotopes based on the concepts related to the physical and biochemical properties of pharmaceutical drugs.
Skills
S1Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures in clinical settings according to the radiology request form.
S2Demonstrate competence in medical imaging procedures by using correct positioning, proper imaging techniques, protocols, and appropriate radiation safety \ protection practice.
S3Evaluate the quality of the diagnostic images for both technical and anatomical criteria.
S4Conduct radiological sciences related research to improve imaging techniques, quality management systems and patient care.
S5Demonstrate skills in utilizing medical imaging informatics to perform image processing and archiving.
