Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy degree program provides students with an exceptional education to prepare for a rewarding professional career as advanced Respiratory Therapist, as well as to provide a foundation for leadership in management and supervision, education, research, and clinical specialization. This program prepares students to provide professional respiratory therapy in health care settings ranging from the emergency room to the patient’s home. The program provides the necessary knowledge and skills to begin clinical practice and promotes continual career growth. A Respiratory Therapist is a member of the healthcare team who takes care of patients with respiratory problems by participating in diagnosing and managing specific patient cases. Moreover, the respiratory therapist is involved in prevention and health promotion programs for individuals and society.

Admission to King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences is competitive and based on the General Secondary School Certificate score (30%), Qiyas​ Aptitude Test (30%), and Achievement Test (40%), in accordance with the university’s approved regulations.
