The College of Science and Health Professions (COSHP) at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences is a leading center for interdisciplinary research, encompassing three dynamic academic departments: the Basic Science Department, the English Language Department, and the Humanities Department. This diversity fosters a broad spectrum of research outcomes across various fields, offering unique perspectives and methodologies that significantly enhance our research capabilities.
To support the diverse needs of our researchers, the COSHP Research Unit (COSHP RU) was established. The unit provides a structured environment designed to facilitate high-quality research across different disciplines. The COSHP Research Unit works closely with faculty and researchers, offering valuable assistance and support. The unit’s broad expertise across science, English, and humanities creates opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, allowing researchers to combine their diverse knowledge and drive innovative solutions.

- Foster interdepartmental cooperation, understanding, inclusion and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Research, Innovation, and Academic Publishing:
- Recognize excellence in educational research, practice, and service
- Promote scholarly research and innovation within higher education
- Promote the highest professional standards and research ethics for researchers and educators
Professional and Personal Development and Capacity Building in Research:
- Foster capacity building in research at all levels (individual, institutional, national, global)
- Provide national leadership on critical issues impacting medical research
