The Community Outreach Committee (COC) at the CPHHI

The tasks of the Community Outreach Committee at the CPHHI include:

  • - Increasing community participation to promote community awareness and sustainable development.
  • - Integrating community service courses into the academic curriculum.
  • Identifying the needs of the local community and collaborating with community institutions to address these needs.
  • Conducting research that demonstrates the College of Public Health's commitment to societal responsibility.
  • Monitoring community service initiatives on the university's platform.
  • Generating reports and performance indicators for community services.
  • Organizing meetings, seminars, scientific lectures, and training courses that contribute to community service.
  • Participating in the activities and events of the Deanship of Student Affairs and Sustainable Development.
  • Publishing bulletins highlighting the college's achievements in providing community services on social media.
  • Promoting the culture of community service among students, faculty members, and administrative staff.

 

The CPHHI Policy for Community Service Providers

  • Community services provided by the college should align with the college's goals and the objectives of the Deanship of Student Affairs and Sustainable Development.
  • Community services should aim to address and solve community issues and problems effectively.
  • Faculty members should balance their university tasks with their community service responsibilities.
  • The implementation of community service initiatives should be discussed and presented to the Community Service Committee at the CPHHI.
  • Faculty members should allocate a minimum of two hours per academic year to fulfil their social responsibility.
  • Community service providers should demonstrate good manners and a cooperative spirit with colleagues and adhere to Islamic guidelines and local culture.
  • The college aims to increase collaboration opportunities through advertising voluntary campaigns and funds within the Kingdom, with both internal and external college students.
  • ​Proposals for solutions related to service delivery problems are encouraged.
