The course offers a comprehensive knowledge of basic concepts in general and organic chemistry and their applications in health sciences. General chemistry provide students with the essential concepts of general chemistry such as atomic structures, electronic configuration, chemical bonding, molecular geometry, and polarity. Organic chemistry provides the students with a comprehensive knowledge of basic principles in theories and applications of carbon chemistry and stereoisomerism, and their connection with health sciences. The course has a laboratory component to introduce general and organic chemical laboratory techniques to reinforce lecture topics.
