English Reading and Vocabulary (I) is a course aimed at improving students' reading proficiency. Using an integrative approach, it combines exercises in reading, critical thinking, and vocabulary growth. The course makes use of Reading Explorer 1, Third Edition, (by Nancy Douglas and David Bohlke), blending audiovisual content and current topics to help students become effective readers with a focus on vocabulary building and critical thinking. Key areas of study include vocabulary, paragraph structure, comprehension skills, and reading strategies, supported by glossary lists. The course encourages students to understand the context of words and use an English-English dictionary efficiently. Regular class activities, coursework, and quizzes ensure continuous skill enhancement. ​
