This is the level II course in Reading and Vocabulary courses, which is delivered as a core course in the second semester. The general purpose of this course is to help students increase their level of reading fluency (in speed and accuracy) so that they can adequately comprehend written English and deal with texts related to health sciences. To achieve this, students need to improve reading comprehension requisite for academic studying by acquiring essential reading skills and strategies. It also stresses on vocabulary enrichment, which is related to health sciences through the use of diagrams and affixes.
