This course focuses on the study of theories, principles and basic concepts related to nursing management and leadership such as staffing, scheduling, nursing care delivery models, human resources management, quality improvement, and change management with application in clinical settings while incorporating concepts of health education, communication, and cultural, ethical, and legal principles in nursing. Students are required to achieve certain core clinical competencies appropriate for their level as an outcome of this course and they will be tracked by the collected matrix for BSN program clinical competencies.
 
Field Experience:
This course offers a total of 90 contact hours of clinical training in a variety of carefully selected and identified Nursing Clinical Teaching Units (NCTU) as centers of excellence in both clinical teaching and nursing practice College faculty will direct and supervise overall students’ clinical education through application of course’s objectives and consistent clinical follow-up as guided by the specification. Whereas, the identified clinical teaching unit in collaboration with its field staff will provide a conducive learning environment that is most supportive and highly beneficial to facilitate students’ professional nursing development. Jointly, faculty and field staff will ensure to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of the student’s experience, achievement, and progress in relation to the clinical learning objectives and outcomes.​
