​Behavioral Sciences for nurses is a branch of sciences that is concerned with the study of human behavior along with the behavior of societies, groups, and cultures.  It also explain the processes that contributes to specific behaviors. Information and skills gained from the course will assist nursing students to understand behavioral factors that primary contributors to health and illness and how these factors play a significant role in disease management and health care delivery.  It will also help them recognize patients’ risky behaviors, so they can foster changes in those behaviors through appropriate interventions and education.
