Women have longer life expectancy than men in every country in the world. That’s right: According to the latest U.S. report, life expectancy for women is 81.2 years compared to 76.4 years for men. According to latest Saudi Arabia report, life expectancy for women is 75.89 years compared to 73.17 years for men. The male to female ratio in Saudi Arabia is 1.31
Women generally need more health care than men because of longer life-span, childbirth, & pregnancy. Women’s reproductive and sexual health places a unique burden on them. Even in developed countries pregnancy and childbirth are associated with substantial risks to women with maternal mortality. Women’s health rights include:

 

  • The right of women to be free from all forms of discrimination
  • Rights to survival, liberty and security
  • Rights to family and private life
  • Rights to information and education
  • The right to health and health care
  • The right to the benefits of scientific progress
  • Rights regarding women’s empowerment
