The Journey of development and success has been always filled with challenges, yet with great amount of ambition we reach our aims. In my academic journey, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and indulge in research, leadership, and extra-curricular activities. Since 2018, I have been an active volunteer in King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), in a stepwise manner, I have been able to become a co-leader of the 10th and 11th Research Summer School (RSS). With all pride, my team and I have helped in implementing a new identity to the school and polish the social media aspect to this program. Afterwards, I wanted to reshape my leadership skills, so I was lucky enough to be nominated by my peers for becoming the Batch Leader and student representative in the Student Advisory Council. By the end of this year, I was blessed to have 5 published research in different specialties under the guidance of great mentors. Through the first two years of college, I was finding my passion and interest in Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBGYN) with the help of my great mentor (Dr. Afaf Felemban), may her soul rest in peace. Under her guidance, I was able to develop practical soft skills and enhance my network in the OBGYN field. We were able to work on 15 projects focusing on In-vitro Fertilization and 4 projects in Minimally Invasive Surgery & Robotics. One of the biggest achievements, I have participated in creating a simulation lab under the guidance of Dr. Jawaher Alsahabi in the OBGYN department and we were honored to be awarded the 1st place in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties - Trainee Performance Improvement Projects. A loyal mentee will always carry on his/her mentor’s vision, so I participated in the 30th World Congress of Controversies in Obstetrics & Gynecology (COGI) with three posters. One of them got awarded in the Junior Scientist Category. I am still developing and thriving to reach the person I dream to become. All this would not happen without the support of my parents, family, friends, mentors, and our university.
