​​The Deanship of Postgraduate ​​Education was established in the '80s under the umbrella of King Abdulaziz Medical City-Ministry National Guard Health Affairs in Riyadh named as Academic Affairs. It's one of the significant department that spread out its services later on the other regions of KSA for more than 3 decades. It has 8 departments that offer Continuing Medical Education and specialized training programs/workshop and other educational support services to all health care professionals of the Ministry of National Guard and other medical workers. The main objective is to bring academic advancement and promote professional development to support the Ministry of National Guard in achieving excellent healthcare system with highest national and international standard of patient care that fully managed by highly competent Saudi staff.​
