The Continuing Medical Education Office under CPD department in the Deanship of Postgraduate Education, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, has been established to facilitate the accreditation process with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties of all CME activities of Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA), King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) and King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC).
Mission:
CME Office implementing the guidelines of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties in terms of accrediting educational activities in MNGHA, KSAU-HS, and KAIMRC through the facilitation of all applications with encoding desired accreditation hours.
Vision:
CME Office will be the center of excellence in facilitating continuing medical education activities organized by MNGHA, KSAU-HS and KAIMRC.

CME Office services:

CME section at KSAU-HS has developed all the required policies and procedures to facilitate the operation of educational events. Registration, feedback, exhibition organization, and announcements are among variable functions that our office handles.
CME accreditation:
Working closely with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) to process CME hour's accreditation for the educational activities, In October 2016, KSAU-HS the office was lunched since then our team is working to develop and improve all CME services.
Type of Activities
The general types of activities include departmental regularly scheduled conferences, special focus conferences, interdepartmental seminars, and national and international symposia. The educational design and methods are approved based on identified gaps, appropriate content and expected results of the activity.
CME APPLICATION DEADLINES:
Please note the following deadlines for submitting a completed CME Application to the CME Office for approval. No retroactive credit will be given for any activity.
For departmental events, application must be approved by CME office two (2) months prior to the scheduled event.
For repeated activities application must be approved by CME office one (1) month prior to scheduled event.
For conferences application must be approved by CME office six (6) months prior to scheduled event.
CME REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
Registration application should be send after the activity conduction within five (5) days.
The CME –Office will register the hrs. Within 21 days after the course conduction.
If CME hrs. Not received within 30 days after the course end date then the office is not responsible for not claiming the hours.

Completed speakers CV .
Attach the event Program .
Provide the previous accreditation number if any
Provide Initial number for the conference if any
Provide the payment receipt of the CME hours. (for departmental activities)
