The program was created specifically to educate and equip students with the knowledge, attitude, and skills necessary to produce quality laboratory results. Laboratory technologists use sophisticated biomedical instruments, technology, microscopes, complex electronic equipment, computers, and methods requiring manual dexterity. They perform tests on blood, body fluids, and tissue specimens. Clinical laboratory sections include clinical chemistry, hematology, blood bank, immunology, microbiology, and molecular diagnostics. Students will also actively participate in research, projects, and leadership activities that aim to enhance practice quality and promote evidence-based clinical practice.
