Terms of Use

Introduction

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences’ digital platforms, systems, and information resources (collectively, “University IT Resources”). By accessing or using any of the University’s systems, networks, or portals, you agree to comply with these terms and all applicable regulations.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the University IT Resources solely for lawful, authorized, academic, administrative, and research-related purposes. All users must:

• Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials
• Access only those systems for which they are authorized
• Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data
• Follow University policies and applicable national laws (including the Saudi Anti-Cyber Crime Law)

Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

• Unauthorized access, modification, or disruption of systems
• Transmission of harmful or malicious code (e.g., viruses, spyware)
• Use of University resources for political, personal, or commercial gain, or defamatory purposes
• Distribution of offensive, racist, or unlawful content
• Attempting to bypass security controls or system protections
• Misuse of the University email or communication tools

Privacy and Monitoring

Users acknowledge that:

• The University reserves the right to monitor and log usage of its systems for security and compliance purposes.
• Personal data collected may be used per the University’s Privacy Policy.
• Users must not expect absolute privacy when using University resources.

Violations and Disciplinary Actions

Violations of these terms may result in:

Suspension or termination of access rights.

• Internal disciplinary measures (academic or administrative)
• Reporting to regulatory or legal authorities
• Civil or criminal liability in accordance with Saudi laws

Intellectual Property

All digital content, systems, designs, and intellectual property hosted or provided by the University remain the property of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences unless otherwise stated. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

Modifications

The University reserves the right to revise these Terms of Use at any time. Users are encouraged to review them periodically. Continued use of University IT Resources after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
