His research has led to more than 80 scientific publications in refereed journals (3 methodological articles), and he plans to continue to publish. His publications focus on public health issues relevant in Arab and African regions and globally. He has successfully supervised 14 MPH students.

the development and applications of statistical and computational methods for clinical and health research studies in the fields of statistics in medicine, infectious diseases, cancer, obesity, and sleep health.

His record of awarded research grants shows four proposals funded by King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), and currently two proposals have been submitted for funding by KACST, in addition to internal and external grants awarded for his students’ research. Services He acts as a reviewer for research grants funding applications for KAIMRC and KACST.
