King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) is committed to improve and maintain quality through effective support of leadership and active involvement of faculty, students and non-academic staff in the quality assurance processes.
These processes are designed to involve the KSAU-HS community by effectively integrating quality in their academic and non-academic processes and regularly evaluating their own performance. KSAU-HS is also committed to provide high quality education as one of its core values.
Development and Quality Management Affairs (DQMA) launched its activities in July 2013 and assigned the task to manage development and quality in KSAU-HS. Our mission is to be creative and innovative to achieve excellence and sustainable quality in health-sciences education. This mission will be translated into a reality through strategic goals and initiatives.
The DQMA will also lead the process of accreditation at the institute and programs levels. We expect that accreditation will assess the university to identify gaps in its processes and launch specific projects that further enhance the academic environment and culture of quality to ultimately reach excellence and sustainable high quality.
Another major task of DQMA is to revisit and reconstruct and oversee the different components of the strategic plan based on the current situation and facilities made available in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Ahsa campuses. The DQMA welcome any initiatives and suggestions that will bring inputs in its planning and development processes and further enhances business processes.

DQMA also leads the institutional and program-level accreditation processes, which play a critical role in identifying performance gaps and launching specialized projects that enrich the academic environment and reinforce a culture of quality. These efforts are essential to achieving long-term excellence and maintaining high standards across all university functions.
In addition, DQMA is responsible for reviewing, refining, and supervising the various components of the university’s strategic plan, taking into account current conditions and available resources across its campuses in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Ahsa.
The DQMA welcomes initiatives and proposals that contribute to strategic planning and development, and that further enhance operational effectiveness and institutional performance.
